The Role of Lead Lists
In SendScale, a Lead List is a static container for specific contacts. Unlike a "Saved Search" (which is dynamic and changes as our database updates), a Lead List is a frozen snapshot of people you intend to contact.
Think of Lead Lists as the bridge between SmartSearch (Finding people) and Campaigns (Emailing people).
Method 1: Creating Lists from SmartSearch (Recommended)
The most common way to create a list is directly from your search results.
Execute a Search: Run your filters in SmartSearch to find your target prospects.
Select Leads: Check the boxes next to the leads you want (or select all).
Click Enrich: The purple button in the top right.
The List Modal: In the pop-up window, locate the section labeled "Add Leads to List."
New List: Click the "New List" tab. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., CEO_SaaS_NY_Jan24).
Existing List: If you are adding more prospects to an ongoing project, select the "Existing List" tab and choose from the dropdown.
Enrich: Once you click the final "Enrich Leads" button, SendScale creates the list and deposits the verified contacts into it.
Method 2: Manual Creation & CSV Import
If you have data from an external source (like a conference attendee list or another database), you can create a list manually.
Navigate to the Leads tab (sometimes labeled Lead Lists) on the left sidebar.
Click the "+ Create List" button in the top right.
Name Your List: Give it a clear naming convention.
Importing: Once the list is created, click the "View" (eye icon) button.
Upload: Inside the empty list, you will see an option to "Import CSV".
Mapping: You will need to map your CSV columns (e.g., "Email Address") to SendScale variables (e.g., {{email}}) to ensure the data is usable in campaigns.
Managing Your Lists
The Lead Lists dashboard provides a high-level view of your data assets.
Total vs. Enriched: The "Total" column shows how many rows are in the list. The "Enriched" column shows how many of those actually have verified contact info.
Actions:
View (Eye Icon): Opens the list to see individual prospects.
Delete (Trash Icon): Removes the list. Note: This does not delete the leads from active campaigns, only from this specific organizational folder.
